On Thursday, April 22nd, the annual senior art show took place in the East High School gymnasium. East’s art teachers - Mrs. Duli, Mrs. Bellucci, and Mr. Niedziejko - planned this event, along with the National Honors Society members. They ensured the safety of both artists and guests by following coronavirus guidelines. While the art show is generally held in the link, it was located in the gym this year, and capacity was limited.
Despite these restrictions, it was a very successful night in which many talented artists received recognition for their creations. Each artists’ display included a collection of their work, some information about themselves, and any decorations they wished to include; by incorporating artwork from East’s different art classes, the event showcased a variety of mediums and art forms.
Some artists earned awards for their outstanding exhibits; the categories included the
Portfolio Award, the Individual Art Award, and Dr. Brown’s Purchase Award. Winners for each category are listed below. Congratulations to all of the artists!
