If you are a West Chester East High School student and you are in possession of a cell phone, then chances are that you’ve at least heard about the meme pages. You can find them on Instagram under the usernames @wceastmemez, @wceastmemes, and @wc.east.memes . Each account contains a plethora of hilarious memes featuring a variety of topics, from Dr. Brown’s announcements to our school’s lovely resident trash cans to the best items offered in the cafeteria. However, as teenagers, many of us already have several Instagram accounts that we try to keep up with daily. You may be desperate for memes but loathe to tackle following all three accounts. So I will help you in your WCE memes endeavor by deciding once and for all which meme account is the best.

Account One: @wceastmemez

We’ll start our meme journey at my personal favorite: @wceastmemez . The morning announcements are a frequent topic of conversation on this particular page. It has existed since January 26th, when it made its debut with the woman screaming at a cat meme. What

was the topic of this meme? Well, I’m not going to say too much because I want them to be able to publish my article, but it involved a certain announcement about seniors and college.

One of the best parts about this page is that they post daily, so you’ll never run out of memes. It’s an excellent way to keep up with the crazy happenings at East High School.

They’ve proven their speed with the notorious Double Fire Alarm of March 2022. Both days, they successfully had memes posted by the time we were allowed to return to our classrooms. The mysterious creators of this page are both dedicated and have a tasteful sense of humor.

Account Two: @wc.east.memes

This meme page made its first appearance all the way back in December (wow, 2021, so

old). Despite being a month older, it has less content than @wceastmemez and appears to have a more inconsistent posting schedule. However, don’t let its smaller size deter you. That only means this page has room to grow. I can certainly appreciate the effort they put into their most recent post by making an entire video. And I must agree. The apple slices are arguably one of the better items (and the most palatable produce) served in the school cafeteria. Overall, this account has yet to reach its full potential, but it will get there someday. But if you are looking for a more steady supply of memes, this might not be the page for you.

Account Three: @wceastmemes

I jumped through a ridiculous amount of hoops to actually gain access to this page. When first going into this project, I figured I could quickly search up and look through all three meme pages, but I was immediately proven wrong. This particular page happened to be private, but I wasn’t about to give up there. I got two different people to send in following requests, but in the end, neither were accepted. However, we eventually gained access through ulterior means that I won’t disclose, and I was sent a sample of memes for judgment. The sample that I judged contained their top eight memes. I will say they were pretty funny, but perhaps not worth the work it took to get them. On top of that, we discovered that this page is currently inactive. So, no matter how funny their memes may be, this account is not a viable option for any incoming freshman or those who are not already following it. However, if you happen to know someone who has access, it might be worth asking them if you can check it out. It’s always fun to laugh at our school a little bit, and I’m laughing a lot, considering I’m writing this after the fire alarm went off twice on our first day back from break. We didn’t even last five minutes before something happened. Sometimes I think this school is cursed.

Conclusion

All three pages have their benefits. Each one has unique content and slightly different senses of humor, so it is difficult to judge them on equal footing. But I would say that @wceastmemez is definitively the best meme page, thanks to the fact that they have a consistent schedule while maintaining a high level of humor. I still encourage those searching for memes to do their own looking and check out as many accounts as they want. In fact, I have no doubt that more pages will pop up in the future, and my article will become dreadfully antiquated. After all, you can never laugh too much, and there’s plenty to laugh at when you are a student at East High School.
